Overview
Wearabouts ("we", "our", or "us") is a clothing identification app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
- Account information — email address and name when you sign in with Apple or Google, managed by Clerk.
- Images you upload — photos you submit for clothing identification are sent to Anthropic's API for analysis and are not stored by us after processing.
- Saved items — clothing items you choose to save are stored in our database (Supabase) linked to your account.
How We Use Your Data
- To identify clothing items from images you upload.
- To save and display items you have saved to your account.
- To authenticate you securely.
We do not sell your data to third parties.
Third-Party Services
- Clerk — authentication and user management.
- Supabase — database for saved items.
- Anthropic — AI processing of uploaded images for clothing identification.
- SerpAPI / Tavily — web search to find where clothing items can be purchased.
Data Retention
Uploaded images are processed in real time and not stored after identification is complete. Saved items are retained until you delete them or your account. Account data is retained until you request deletion.
Your Rights
You can delete your saved items at any time within the app. To request full account deletion or a copy of your data, contact us at the email below.
